These beautiful Jack Russell’s are best friends Lola, 6 years and Tilly, 10 years. They came in to Bleakholt because their owner has a baby and they cannot give the time and attention Lola and Tilly need. These lovely girls walk well on lead and tend to ignore most dogs whilst out on walks. At the moment Lola is still quite nervous being in kennels but luckily she has her best friend Tilly to reassure her. We are looking for a pet free home where the girls will be given time to settle in to a new environment. They had lived in their previous home all their life so it is understandable that they are find kennels a bit stressful. They would be suitable for a single person, a couple or a family with children 10+.

Hi, my name is Jess, I am 12 years old and I came to Bleakholt after a change in circumstances. I am a very friendly girl and I am good with dogs that are placid. I am deaf and have cataracts but I am still quite active and enjoy going out for walks. I am very affectionate and enjoy sitting with someone. I have been around children that visit occasionally. I have been good with other dogs as when we all go out on the field together I just do my own thing. I do shred the post if I see it come through the letterbox, if the post has already been delivered I’m not bothered and will leave it, its just when I see it come through the door. This is Alba a 2 year old female Dogue de Bordeaux cross Staffie. She came in to us because her owner became homeless. She can be a little nervous when she first meets new people but it doesn’t take her long to become friends. She walks well on the lead but at times can pull, she is ok with some dogs while on walks and can be quite inquisitive but she doesn’t like cats. She will need a home where she will not be left for long periods of time as she suffers from separation anxiety. She would make a great companion for a single person, a couple or a family with dog savvy teenagers. Experience of bully breeds would be an advantage due to their boisterous nature.
