Thank you for registering to walk dogs here at Bleakholt.  Without the help of people like you we would have severe difficulties getting the dogs exercised.  However it is very important that certain do's and don'ts are observed.  These are all for very good reasons that will be apparent to most people.

If you have any problems or questions ask the staff, they will be glad to help.
DO's

  • Pick up any mess the dog may do whilst on the walk - this is very important especially if the dog is in an area that horses may use.  If a horse were to get dog worms it could be very serious.
  • Remember to get the pooh bags from the office before you set out.
  • Keep the dog on a very short lead when passing other dogs.  The dog you have will be trustworthy , however the other one may be being walked by one of our staff or senior dog walkers because of its temperament.
  • Take the dog back to the member of staff that got the dog out for you.  Staff can be identified by their yellow name badges.
  • Make sure that you are holding the lead and not a person under the age of 16.
DONT's

  • Feed the dog anything unless you have been given permission by the dog staff.
  • Let your dog interact with any other dogs that you may meet.
  • Let children hold the dog.  If you need to introduce the dog to your children please ask for staff guidance.
  • Take the dog out of the kennel or put it back yourself.
  • Let your dog off the lead at any time.
If you follow these simple rules you and the dog will both enjoy your walk.

Please note: there must be at least one adult per person under the age of 16 when walking dogs.
