Volunteering

Bleakholt cannot manage without volunteers and their assistance is invaluable. They are an integral part of the Bleakholt team and we could not achieve our mission without them. Every role is so important to us and the success of our Sanctuary.

If you are considering volunteering, the following are some examples of how you can help.  Even if your area of interest isn’t listed below please do get in touch with us at info@bleakholt.org.  We would be very interested to hear from you.

Please note that all our volunteers are aged eighteen and over.

NEW CHARITY SHOP IN BURY – opened on 17 SEPTEMBER 2016

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

Our new Shop is at 23 Princess Parade, Millgate Shopping Centre, Bury.  We need extra Volunteers to ensure the success of our new Shop, so if you can help, please contact Diane Riley on:

Tel: 07507 774872

Email: bury.shop@bleakholt.org

Opening hours are 9.30 a.m to 4.30 p.m. Monday – Saturday

RAMSBOTTOM SHOP

Our charity shop in Ramsbottom is at 48 Bridge Street and we still need VOLUNTEERS here too!  If you can help, the contact details are the same as above.  Open every day between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Volunteer Shop Assistants help support the work of the Charity Shop team by ensuring that customers receive the best possible service and help with the smooth running of the shop. This role may be suitable for you if you enjoy working in a team, meeting new people – or just want to gain experience! No specific experience is necessary, just bring a bucketful of enthusiasm along!

You don’t have to commit to large chunks of time either – it may even be just one or two days a week, or 2 or 3 mornings or afternoons – every little helps!

Our new shop was opened by Cllr Mike Connolly and his consort, Mr Ian Hargreaves, together with our very own Vice President, Gemma Atkinson.

CAFE VOLUNTEERS REQUIRED

At the Bleakholt site we have a lovely Cafe which is open every weekend and Bank Holidays.  We have to rely on Volunteers to run this for us and we have some amazing and dedicated people doing a fantastic job.

However, we desperately need volunteers to help them out and keep our Cafe going.  If you feel you can help by donating a little of your time, we would love you to get in touch to help our animals.  You can ring us on 01706 822577, or email us at info@bleakholt.org or simply call in to our Reception.

VOLUNTEERS REQUIRED FOR BLEAKHOLT ONSITE SHOP

If you would like to help us run the Bleakholt Shop and can donate a little time to work in our on-site shop at weekends or bank holidays, please contact us on 01706 822577, call into reception, or email us at info@bleakholt.org

Please note that all our volunteers are aged eighteen and over.

Thank you for considering volunteering with us, we know you will enjoy your time with us and the Sanctuary will benefit greatly.
