Why sponsor at Bleakholt?

Bleakholt Animal Sanctuary is a large mixed animal rescue centre based in Edenfield near Ramsbottom in Lancashire. We care for a very wide range of animals and never put a healthy animal down.
Even though we find new homes for approximately 1500 animals per year we are asked to take very many more than this. We therefore have to prioritise which animals we accept. We do this by only accepting those in the greatest need. This inevitably includes a significant number of animals that have been abused or neglected. As the total number of animals we are asked to admit rises each year the proportion of these abused and neglected animals becomes a higher and higher proportion of our total intake. Also as we get more known as a centre that will admit these more troubled animals we get even more requests for this kind of help, including a rising number of requests from other charities that do not have the facilities or skills to deal with these more challenging cases.
The cost of caring for any animal is steadily rising, nowhere more so in the area of animal rescue and especially so with the more troubled animals.
That's why we need your help.

Sponsorship

costs just £15 per year. For this you will receive a sponsorship certificate with a photo of your sponsored animal, twice yearly updates on your animals progress and newsletters four times a year.

Silver Sponsors

 donate £24 per year. They also receive the certificate, updates and newsletters. Their donation goes a little further and would typically cover the cost of; a cat castration, or a full vaccination course for a cat or dog, or feed a horse for a month. For Bleakholt to get the maximum benefit from sponsors generosity this can be put on a Bankers Order for only £2 per month.

Gold Sponsors

donate £48 per year or more. They also receive the certificate, updates and newsletters. Their donation goes even further and would typically cover the cost of; a cat spey, or a dog castration, or two full sets of vaccinations, or feed two horses for a month. For Bleakholt to get the maximum benefit from sponsors generosity this can be put on a Bankers Order for only £4 per month.
