Well, first of all the excellent news is we raised £6,700 last year, all through the magnificent efforts of our helpers and supporters who regularly donate goods and bric-a-brac and attend all the Open Days at Bleakholt.
We have started a new venture at Bolton Canopy and bookings have been made for July 2nd, August 24th and November 12th. Please come to support us if you can. We need plenty of bric-a-brac. Please telephone me if you have any or bring it on the day 8 am – 3 pm. 0161 865 0457. Helpers are always welcome.
Talks about Bleakholt’s work and animal welfare are being held at local schools, Salvation Army Centre and Womens and Church Groups in Bury and Lancashire.
Two of our group have vetted homes for over 200 cats and a good number of dogs and rabbits over the last 12 months. This is ongoing and gives our animals a second chance after a poor start in life.
Recently a stall was held at the Charities Fair in Buxton - good for publicity and funding.
