As a Bleakholt Fundraising Volunteer, you’ll be right at the heart of the action helping us raise vital funds to care for animals who need a second chance. Whether it’s chatting to animal lovers at a local fair, running a stall at a market, representing Bleakholt at a corporate event, or shaking a bucket at a supermarket no two days will be the same!

By volunteering for Bleakholt, you’ll play a direct role in supporting animal welfare right in your local community. You’ll receive full training and support from our fundraising team, and we’re always happy to provide references if needed. And best of all, you’ll get that unbeatable feeling of knowing you’re helping animals find their second chance at happiness.

You’ll be the friendly face of Bleakholt out in the community, helping to spread the word about our sanctuary and the incredible work we do. Sometimes you’ll be part of a team, and sometimes you’ll be flying solo, but don’t worry, you’ll always have the full support of our friendly Fundraising Team behind you.

You don’t need fundraising experience just bags of enthusiasm, an outgoing and bubbly personality, and a genuine love for animals. We’ll provide all the training and support you need to feel confident and capable.

Examples of what you’ll be doing:

  • Hosting donation stands at public events and supermarkets
  • Running small-scale stalls independently when needed
  • Helping at large events like our open days and fun days
  • Promoting Bleakholt’s work and encouraging donations and support
  • Supporting with merchandise sales, raffles, or promotional activity
  • Sharing stories from the Sanctuary and building excitement in the community
  • Keeping things organised, approachable, and always animal-loving
