We’re delighted to share that Farm Cottage Boarding will once again be hosting their much-loved Charity Fun Dog Show in support of Bleakholt Animal Sanctuary this year:

Bank Holiday Monday, 4th May 2026

The event promises a fantastic day out for dog lovers, families and the local community, all while raising vital funds to support the animals in our care.

The show will feature a wide range of fun and inclusive classes for dogs of all shapes, sizes and personalities. From Best Fancy Dress and Best Trick to Golden Oldie, Waggiest Tail and the ever-popular Best in Show. There’s something for everyone (and their pooches!) to get involved in.

Alongside the Show Ring, visitors can enjoy a variety of stalls, including local businesses, handmade crafts, gifts and treats. There will also be plenty of opportunities to get involved with fundraising activities, including a tombola, raffle, and a brand-new dog bric-a-brac stall.

Farm Cottage Boarding are also welcoming support from local businesses, whether through sponsoring classes, hosting a stall, or donating items such as bottles, gift sets or good quality dog accessories to help raise additional funds on the day.

Last year’s event raised an incredible £2,100 for Bleakholt animals, and thanks to ongoing support, this year’s fundraising efforts have already reached an incredible £3,000 with hopes to go even further! Imagine! We cannot thank Alice and Bill and everyone at Farm Cottage Boarding enough for everything they do for our Sanctuary.

Events like this make a real difference, helping us continue to provide food, shelter, veterinary care and long-term support for animals who need us most.

We’re incredibly grateful to them and everyone involved for their continued support, and we’d love to see as many of you there as possible for what is sure to be a brilliant day.
