24 March – COVID-19 UPDATE: Following the latest Government update we have had to close down completely and only Staff are allowed on site. We can no longer offer appointments for adoption until further notice and this will be reviewed in 3 weeks.
26 March – Regretfully we have had to reduce the hours we are able to take your phone calls. There will only be someone available from 10 a.m. – 12.30 p.m. each day. It may take a little longer to answer emails.
We are doing everything we can to protect our Staff and prioritise the welfare of our animals and we are all getting stuck in to make sure this happens. Our dedicated Staff have been truly remarkable and are doing a magnificent job – we couldn’t ask for more.
Thank you to all of our amazing supporters. Please take care of yourselves and others and we wish everyone good health
Please do come and visit us!
Even if you are not looking to adopt, it is a GREAT day out for the whole family
The Sanctuary is open to the public every day between the hours of
10 a.m. and 4 p.m. including weekends and Bank Holidays (closed Christmas Day)
Admission is FREE!
There is ample free car parking but we would welcome a donation which will help towards our huge running costs.
Why not visit our on-site Cafe at the weekends or Bank Holidays where you will find a delicious range of home cooked food, sandwiches, snacks and hot and cold drinks.
During the summer months we hope to open the Cafe from Monday – Friday as well, so pop in and treat yourself (our cake selection is also very popular!).
The Bleakholt Shop
We also have an on site Shop which is open every day and where you can buy a wide range of things for your pets. We also sell a wide variety of Bleakholt souvenirs, special gifts, clothing and the Bleakholt range of jams, chutneys and sweets.
