First Rehoming Day – Saturday 14 December 2019

We are thrilled to announce that we have volunteered to be a rehoming collection point for the British Hen Welfare Trust and we will be holding our first rehoming on Saturday 14 December!

The hens that will join us on that day have all been booked for rehoming with BHWT and will be collected from here by their new families. Their new life, as they have never known it before, starts here – very eggciting! (sorry folks!)

The British Hen Welfare Trust is a national charity that rehomes thousands of commercial laying hens destined for slaughter every year. They educate the public about how they can make a difference to hen welfare and encourage support for the British egg industry. Its ultimate aim is to see consumers and food manufacturers buying only UK produced free range eggs, resulting in a strong British egg industry where all commercial laying hens enjoy a good quality of life.

Just look at these other lovely pics of hens that have already been rehomed:

If you are interested in rehoming some of the girls they rescue who so deserve another chance in a loving home, you will need to register with BHWT direct at: https://support.bhwt.org.uk/RegisterAHen.aspx  and then phone their Hen Central on 01884 860084 to make the actual booking – please note that they cannot rehome without a booking!
