This sweet boy is Sam, he is a 9 year old Whippet. Sam came in to Bleakholt because his owner is ill and they can no longer care for him. He is a gentle, sensitive boy who likes meeting new people. He enjoys being out and about and walks beautifully on a lead/harness. Sam has been fine around other dogs and could potentially live with one. Sam would love a home where he isn’t going to be left for long periods of time, he enjoys the company of humans. He would make a wonderful companion for a single person, a couple or a family with older children 12+ who are used to dogs.

This little man is Toby, 7yr old J/R, he is looking for his forever home, we are looking for a couple that has experience with cheeky J/R’s, Toby doesn’t like being overly fussed, he likes to take life at his pace, and he has been know to nip if you try to push him, so with this in mind we are looking for a child and pet free home, we wouldn’t even want him around grandchildren. This lovey lady is Roxy she has found herself with us here at Bleakholt after being handed in as a stray. She is a 7 year old shar pei nothing is known of her history, she is being assessed at the moment and proven to be a really lovely girl. Initially she can be shy but once she gets to know you she is a really friendly little lady. We are currently still working on harnessing her so only using a slip lead at the moment which she is still shy of being put over her head. Because we have no history she is not suitable to be rehomed with children under 16 yrs and experienced with shar pei’s would be a plus. This handsome lad is Lennox, he is a four year old French bulldog. He can be a little shy around new people at first but he soon becomes very friendly and affectionate.
He would like a home where he isn’t left for long periods of time. He walks well on a lead and harness, but he doesn’t like dogs in his personal space therefore a pet free home would suit his needs best. He has been fine around around older children, so could potentially live with a family with children 12+ who are used to dogs. He would also be suitable for a single person or couple.
Lennox likes to play with squeaky toys or tug ropes and loves to chew his teddys up.
