Luna came to Bleakholt with her feline friend, Larna as their owner could no longer afford to provide the care they deserve after having a baby. Luna is a confident girl, but would need time and patience to settle into her new home. We feel a family home with cat savvy children will be perfect for her. She is currently sharing one of our outdoor pens with other cats and there hasn’t been any major issues, so she should be fine to live with a compatible feline friend in the future, but we don’t feel she will be too happy living with any canine friends. Luna was previously kept as a house cat however, given her young age, we feel she may benefit from having the option to go outside in the future – due to her having little to no road sense, her new home will need to be in a low traffic area.

Smudge is a lovely lady who was well cared for in a home all of her life before coming to us, unfortunately the owners allergies became worse and so Smudge was spending most of her time outdoors. She is an independent lady who likes her own company so she would prefer a home where she is the only pet. Smudge likes attention on her own terms like most tortie females so we think an adult only home or with cat savvy children 8+ years would be perfect for her. Once settled, she will require outdoor access as this is what she is used to.

Tabby came into the sanctuary with her sister Casper. They can be rehomed together or separately. She came to us as her owner was moving to Ireland and was unable to take her with him. Tabby is friendly and loving once she knows you., she is described as being the most timid of the two. She is used to living as a housecat, so can be rehomed as one In the future. Tabby may be ok living with cat savvy children.

Sally came to us with newborn babies after being abandoned by her owners. Sadly it turned out that motherhood wasn’t really her bag so we had to step in and bring her away. She is nervous and defensive at first which is completely understandable after what she has been put through though she is very much motivated by her food so will come around in no time. A quiet home with no pets, older children if any and access outdoors will be ideal.
