Rita and Gizmo are a bonded pair of female hooded rats, they’re both around 6 months old and we believe they’re sisters. Both are a little timid but they have only recently arrived. Rita has the dark markings to her coat, Gizmo is a lighter colour. Their previous owner said Gizmo does seem to have limited eye sight, but she has managed very well since arriving and with a new set up, she’s been climbing and has found her way around with no issues. These two are only young and will soon become hand tame with a little time and patience. They are both in lovely condition. We are re-homing these two as a pair and they will need a roomy cage with plenty of time outside for exercise, preferably in a cat free room. They would suit experienced adult owners who are prepared to spend some time with them, once they are fully tame rats do make excellent and fascinating pets. Potential adopters are welcome to visit to meet them, we are open Thu, Fri, Sat and Sunday each week 11am till 4pm, outside these times please contact us on farm@bleakholt.org to arrange a meeting.
