Meet Freddy, his previous owners adopted him from Dubai. He is our charming, handsome Arabian Mau cross with a heart full of love and a personality as vibrant as his beautiful coat. Freddy adores human companionship – he’ll happily curl up next to you, purr his heart out, and shower you with affection. Like many spirited young cats, he sometimes gets a little overstimulated, which can lead to the odd scratch or nip, so he’s best suited to an understanding home with no young children that will give him the space he needs when he’s had enough cuddles. Freddy is not a fan of other animals, so he’ll need to be the only pet in the household, where all the love and attention can be just for him. Because of his hunting instincts, he much be kept indoors, but with toys, enrichment and playtime, this handsome boys beautiful energy shines in the most delightful ways. Freddy is longing for a special person who will see past his quirks and love him for the affectionate, playful and wonderfully unique companion he is.

Minnie came to Bleakholt with two other cats as their owner passed away and the family couldn’t care for them, they weren’t particularly bonded so we are rehoming them separately. Minnie is a sweet lady who can be a little timid at first so she needs a quieter, patient home which will allow her to settle in and come out of her shell in her own time. She hasn’t reacted negatively to any other cats since being here so should be fine to live with a compatible friend in the future. Minnie would be great company for an older person but she can live with older (8+ years) cat savvy children if necessary. As with any older cat over 10 years old we would recommend feeding her a renal diet if possible to prevent any kidney issues in the future. Minnie will need outdoor access in her new home as this is what she is used to.

Delilah is a sweet girl who came to Bleakholt after becoming stressed when he owners moved near a main road and tried to keep her as a house cat after a lifetime of being an outdoor cat! She is a little unsure of new people in the beginning, but it doesn’t take long for the purring to start! She has been around cats and young children before so should be fine to live with a compatible feline friend and cat savvy children again in the future. Delilah’s skin wasn’t in the best condition when she arrived, since being with us, our vet has put Delilah onto a special, hypoallergenic food to see if this helps. We have seen a slight improvement with her skin but we are continuing to monitor this, we would continue to cover this cost of the skin issue until it is under control then the long term costs of the diet would be taken on by the adopters. Once fully settled into her new forever home, Delilah will require outdoor access as this is what she is used to.

Milka came to us after being found as a stray, taking shelter in somebody’s shed which is where she also gave birth to four kittens. Now they are all old enough to look after themselves, Milka is looking for her forever couch to sit on and get all of the attention. She was timid to begin with however came out of her shell once he knew where her food was coming from! She is now a sweet, friendly girl who really appreciates a fuss. In terms of other pets, while being with us she has shown us that she is not keen on sharing her home with other cats or dogs. Children from ages seven and up would be suitable and outdoor access is a must once she is settled.
