Project Description

We believe Tufnel and Hubbins are brothers, both are around 12-18 months old. These 2 were abandoned outside a vet surgery on new years eve so we know nothing of their background. Tufnel is on the right of the picture and is a crested type, Hubbins has a longer coat and is part bred Abyssinian. Both are in nice condition and have obviously been looked after in the past. The vets did health checked them and both are healthy. They have settled well since being with us, and they get on well together with no squabbling, but they are still a little timid of people which is understandable given their background. We are re-homing them as a pair. They will need indoor accommodation but will enjoy sometime outdoors in the warmer weather. These 2 are not large Guinea pigs and will need to be away from cats or other potential predators. They will need a little patience to begin with before they will settle and trust a new owner. Guinea pigs can make great pets with the right set up and a little patience. If you do want to offer these 2 a home please complete the application form online and we will get back to you A.S.A.P. Potential adopters are welcome to visit to meet them, we are open Thu. Fri, Sat and Sunday each week 11am till 4pm, outside these time please contact us on farm@bleakholt.org to arrange a meeting. Please see the guinea pig housing recommendations at the top of the adoption page for housing advise.
