Wrigley was a stray who was brought into us after being found in Holcombe Brooke. He loves head scratches and fusses once he gets to know you, although can be a little bit skittish to begin with. He likes to stand on his hind legs and headbutt you for pets. He rubs on the front of the pen asking for some love and attention. His future home would be one with outdoor access, as this is what he is used to, and without any dogs. We have been told that he is okay to live with cat savvy children aged 8+ and with other cats, who would accept another feline friend.
Living up to her namesake, Cry Baby is a needy girl who craves attention all day long. She loves to have a little chat with you, asking you to give her a cuddle, and so we feel her ideal home would be one that can give this to her. She needs a place where she can enjoy a comfy lap and couch to lay on, without any dogs or other cats. She loves head scratches and will climb on you for a fuss. She would be best suited in a home with no younger children as she can occasionally get a little overwhelmed. She was a stray that a lovely couple were feeding continuously for around two years, but unfortunately could no longer commit to caring for her so they made the heart-breaking decision to bring her to us. Once she finds her new forever home and is fully settled in, Crybaby will need outdoor access so she can watch all the birds fly by till her heart’s content. It has been 4 months now and we are just at a lost why we are not getting any interest – who cant love a cat that flop on the floor for attention!
Good things comes to those who wait – like a nicely settled Guinness! Guinness came to the sanctuary as she was not happy with the dog in the home. Whilst very unsure at first, once she’s had a sniff and knows we mean no harm, she loves a good head scratch and will meow at you for fusses. She has a very playful side and loves playing in the tunnels. Guinness is a little skittish at the moment so we feel her new home would have no children or dogs. She is becoming more and more confident every day and loves to play. She has lived with cats previously so would be ok to have a feline friend or 2. We feel someone looking for a quiet furry companion would be ideal. Guinness is a big explorer and so will need outdoor access.
Meet Bones. This little lady was bought to us by her owners son, as sadly her owners health was deteriorating and Bones was not getting the care she deserved. Bones is the sweetest little cat, she is currently nervous but she is becoming more and more out of her shell everyday. she is a very friendly girl with a lot of love to give, if allowed time. She often try’s to meow to say hello but little noise comes out. As we do not have any history on her, we do not know how bones will react towards children, dogs or other cats. As a result, we are currently looking for a home with no other pets or young children, until we know more about her. Bones will also require outdoor access once settled as this is what she’s used to.
Meet Jaxson! He was brought in by a neighbour of his owner after he was left behind in the home. Jaxson has a noticeable scar on his back, we believe this to be an old scold wound but it is now healed. Since being here, Jaxson’s’ confidence has grown. He is a friendly, affectionate gentleman, keen to show you his loving nature. He was rehomed from us previously and brought back because he was stalking the other cat in the household. He has not shown any negative signs to the other cats in his shared pen, but because of his previous home experience he would best suit being the only cat in the house. The lady who brought him in said he reacted perfectly fine towards her children so a family home with those aged 5 years and older will be ideal for him. Once settled into his new forever home, we feel he will benefit massively from having outdoor access.
Meet Bibby! This handsome fella came into our care due to his owner passing away. He is a loving and chatty guy who loves nothing more than a comfy lap to sit on. We believe Bibby would be fine living with children aged 8+ as well as others feline friends as he has shown no negative reactions towards them, however we are unsure of his reaction towards dogs. Once he is fully settled Bibby will need access to the outdoors as this is what he’s used to.
Don’t worry, its not a ghost, its just Phantom! This fluffy girlie came to us after being found a stray. She does suffer from a flea bite allergy, but this is controlled by simple monthly flea treatments. Phantom is currently enjoying one of our outside pens, often talking away to people passing by. She enjoys affection and making herself at home on your lap. Phantom will require regular brushing to keep that glossy coat in check (as well as words of affirmation as she is VERY aware how pretty she is!) This little lady’s new home will need to be cat free, with cat-savvy children aged 8 years and over but we do not feel she would be a fan of dogs. Phantom needs outdoor access in her new home.
Hehe and Haha came from a vets after their owner relinquished ownership, no longer able to care for them. When they first arrived, Haha was confident was day 1, whereas Hehe took a little to come along. Now they are in a larger enclosure, their personality are truly shining through! Hehe has now turned into quite a chatterbox, rubbing on every piece of furniture and human possible! Haha is not as vocal but loves to curl up on the couch for cuddles or staring out the window watching the world go by. Due to not having much knowledge about their previous home or history, we are yet to know they are with dogs, cats or children, but we are hoping to understand them more everyday whilst they are with us! We are still learning how close they are so there is a possibility they can be rehomed as a pair or separately. We feel they would benefit from outdoor access.
Sasha is the sweetest lady who will do anything for some attention! She was brought into us as her owners had dementia and could no longer provide the love and care she deserves. She may have a bit of Bengal in her, but she does not behave like the typical Bengal! She is the most affectionate, loving lady ever, however, she has made it clear that she does not like other cats! So she will have to be the only feline in her new home – we don’t think she would react great to dogs either! We feel a family home with cat savvy children aged 8 years and older is best suited for Sasha as she may need a little time to settle in before coming round. Once fully settled into her new home, Sasha will require access to the outdoors as this is what she is used to.
Lolly was brought into us after she was left at a local vets by her owners. She is a shy girl who takes a little time and patience to bring her out of her shell, but we believe she will be more than worth it when her true personality begins to shine through. We were told that she doesn’t like other pets so will have to be the only animal in her new home. We are looking for a quiet home with teenage children and older who will understand that Lolly will need time to settle in before opening up. Due to the circumstances of which Lolly was brought into us, we don’t know a great amount of information about her likes and dislikes etc. but we will continue to monitor her whilst she’s with us.
