Lola is a special little lady who holds a special place in every member of staffs’ heart. You may have seen her up for sponsorship for quite a while however over time we have decided, in the perfect home, Lola would much prefer life snuggled up on a sofa with endless amounts of fuss. This is something the staff simply cannot provide all day every day (very sad). Lola can sometimes be Wary of new people and take a dislike to them however we found if you go in there calmly but with confidence she doesn’t have any issue.
She was initially brought into us in April of 2019 due to being stressed in her home and started being aggressive towards any men in the house. She was then rehomed on the 1st June 2019 but Lola would later be returned due to ‘behaviour issues’ in this home (13th may 2020). Lastly, we rehomed her on the 10th of July 2020 and she was returned again the next day due to aggression when she was startled.
We don’t have much detail on what the behaviour issues were in the second home though we were told she was grumpy with other cats- We would later discover she is okay with some and we’re more than happy to rehome Lola with a compatible feline, a cat who’s laidback enough to give Lola enough space. To err on the side of caution, we are looking for an adult only home with no dogs.
She is known as Princess Lola as she is an actual Princess, often demanding attention and affection which often results in her drooling with Joy and sometimes suckling on your arm. She does love her play time just as much as affection, particularly favouring toys on a string. She loves to be stroked and would have you stroke her all day long, offering plenty of loving headbutts, biscuits and kisses.
We are looking for an experienced, understanding and confident home that can learn Lola’s language and offer her that final chance she deserves. She will need a quiet home as she gets very scared with sudden noise/unpredictable movement which can result in aggression sadly. An example of this is shouting. Multiple meetings with Lola would be required, so that she can really get to know her new owner(s) before stepping into the big change of a completely new home(for the fourth time!). We aren’t completely ruling out men as we have had a few men go into her pen now and she hasn’t shown any negative signs. She hasn’t shown any aggressive behaviour for a very long time now she’s a very friendly and confident girly.
Once settled, Lola would require outdoor access so she can burn off any steam and would really benefit from this. To sum up the criteria for Lola’s new owners they would :
-Have a quiet home with no children or dogs.
-Be experienced with cats, especially temperamental cats. (though Lola is much better now)
-Ideally Female only if at all possible
-Have plenty of outdoor space (a home away from any main roads/railways)
If you’ve got this far and are interested in giving Princess Lola her chance in her forever home, please do not hesitate to pop an application through. We will get back in touch ASAP if we feel you are the perfect fit.
