Marbles came to Bleakholt through no fault of her own. Her origional owners had had her since she was a kitten and were absolutely heart broken to have to part with her, so we are eager to find her an equally loving home to live out the rest of her days. Marbles has been around young children and previously lived with a chihuahua so would suit most homes, but she would like to be the only feline in the home. She was described as a loving affectionate lady but on her own terms, so will need a family who will understand when she wants her own space. Marbles loves her daily morning head scratches whilst with us so would love a home where she can continue to get lots of affection and forehead kisses. Once settled, Marbles will require outdoor access for her curious nature.

Janet is a shy lady who originally came to us as a stray with her siblings who were born on the streets. She was rehomed for a few months with one of her sisters, however was unfortunately returned due to no fault of her own after the owner failed to bond with her the way he expected to. She is looking for a loving home where she can be spoilt, with both indoor and outdoor access, we think she would suit most homes, which would have the patience and love to help her come out her shell. Janet is used to living with cats but we are unsure how her reaction would be to dogs and young children as she hasn’t been around them before as far as we are aware.

Winston Jeffery was brought into us because he became too much for his owners to deal with due to their young autistic daughter. He is a shy boy at first, but we are confident that with some time and patience, he will soon show his true colours. He made it clear on arrival that he is not a fan of other cats, so Winston will need to be the only pet in his new home. Despite the young girl in his previous home not liking him, we have been told that he was fine with her and the other young child, so should be fine to live with other cat savvy children in the future. Once fully settled into his new home, Winston will require the option to go outdoors.

Smudge came into us with Bootsie as their owner was moving abroad. They have been cared for and loved for many years and their owner was heartbroken to part with them so we are keen to find their new family to carry on the love. Described as a loving, friendly pair. They are not overly bonded and occasionally get jealous of who gets the most attention so feel they would be better to be rehomed separately. They both would like to a cat free home with no young children, but could have a canine friend as they have previously lived with a poodle breed. Smudge never wanted to go out in her previous home so will be rehomed as a housecat. Our vet has recommended a mainly dry diet to help Smudge’s teeth.

Floki came to us as his owners no longer had time for him due to having a baby. He is a very friendly boy with quite a needy nature which proved too much for them. We have been told he is cuddly, loving and happy to sit on your lap. Floki is a very vocal chap and can sometimes hiss – but we have discovered this is simply his way of saying hello! We are looking for a home where all the spotlight is on him. He is good with small dogs and other cats though we are looking to rehome him with no young children (ages 10 and over). Once settled, Floki would require access outdoors.

Paddy was brought to Bleakholt after being left behind by his owners. He is a shy boy who takes a little time to come round, but he is worth the wait! An ideal home for Paddy is one with cat savvy children aged 8 years and older and possibly a compatible feline friend, who will encourage him to come out of his shell quicker. We don’t think he will be happy living with any dogs though. Once fully settled, Paddy will require outdoor access.

Pumpkin came into us as his owners moved away and sadly left him behind. He is currently very scared of his new surroundings so we are looking for a home that will be patient with the little guy, as we do believe he will become a confident, playful kitten – as he should be! Due to his limited history, we do not know how Pumpkin is with children, cats or adults so feel a quiet, pet free home with no young children will be best for him for the time being. Pumpkin will require outdoor access once settled.

Clarence was bough to us by a lovely couple after being found as a stray, they did attempt to find his owners but to no avail. He was described as a loving, vocal chap who enjoyed affection and cuddles. He is currently unsure of his new surroundings and is understandably nervous but we are sure, once he finds his new perfect family, he will show just how vocal and cuddly he truly is! Clarence was ok with the other cats in the area and believe he would be fine with older children, so his new home could have cat-savvy children aged 8 years plus, and potentially a feline pal, but he is nervous of the canine kind. Clarence will need outdoor access in his new home.

During his check up with our vet, we found out that Bootsie does have a grade 1 heart murmur, this is not currently causing him any issues,

Chiquitita came to Bleakholt by a neighbour after being abandoned by her owner. She is a shy girl but once she realises she is safe, she is a sweet, loving girl who craves fuss! She hasn’t shown any negative reactions towards other cats since being with us so should be fine to live with a compatible feline friend in the future. We don’t think she would cope very well living with any canine companions though! A family home with cat savvy children aged 8 years and older will be ideal for this pretty girl. Once fully settled, Chiquitita will require outdoor access as this is what he is used to.
