With those chubby cheeks and adorable face, it’s not hard to understand why the staff have quickly fallen in love with him! Described as a laidback and cuddly boy, Mista has shown us that he is a affectionate and confident man, settling in very quickly and jumping at any chance of some lovin’. Mista is not a fan of dogs but could be rehomed with another feline friend, we do not know what he is like with children as he has never been around them. Mista will need outdoor access in his new home as this is what he is used to.

Got a sweet tooth? Fudge may be the one for you! Fudge was bought to Bleakholt as he was living as a stray. We came to find out his original owners no longer wanted him and relinquished ownership. Due to his living arrangements, Fudge was a dirty boy when he first arrived. He is now slowly getting his gorgeous clean coat back in tip top condition and is ready to find his new forever home. Fudge can be a little shy occasionally but overall he’s a confident gentleman who loves some one on one affection. Due to our limited knowledge of his past, we are unsure about his reactions to dogs, cats and children at this time but we are currently monitoring this. Fudge has a mild heart murmur- this does not affect his way of life or require any treatment. He will need outdoor access in his new home as that is what he is used to.

Stampy was brought into us as his owners were moving into some flats. They knew how much Stampy loved having outdoor access so made the heart breaking decision to give him up rather than causing any extra stress. He is a beautiful, cheeky lad who loves causing mischief and being fussed! He hasn’t shown any negative reactions towards the other cats since being with us so should be fine to live with a compatible feline friend in the future, we don’t currently know what he is like towards dogs at this stage. We feel a family home with children aged 5 years and older will be ideal so he can get all the fuss and play time he could ever want! Once fully settled into his new home, Stampy will require outdoor access as this is what he is used to.

Meet Hafir (pronounced Half-ear as he is missing half of one of his ears.) He was brought into us after his owner sadly passed away. He is quite a shy lad, but once he gets to know you he becomes a big needy baby! Hafir was brought into us with another cat called Tango, we have since realised that they are not bonded so we have decided to rehome them separately to give them both the best possible chance at finding them both their new forever homes. Hafir needs a quiet home with no other pets or children where he can take all the time he needs to settle in all over again. Once fully settled, Hafir will require the option to have outdoor access.

Some people think he’s bonkers, but we just think he’s cute!
Mr Rascal came in to us as his owners ill health had rapidly declined and she could no longer provide the love and care he deserves. He is a sweet boy who loves being around people, getting lots of fuss and settling down on a nice cosy lap for a long cat nap! Dizzy doesn’t like dogs, but is currently sharing one of our outdoor pens with other cats, so will be able to live with a compatible feline friend in the future. Ideally a home with cat savvy children, aged 10 years and older is what this big boy needs. Since being with us, our vet has found out that Dizzy has a grade 1/6 heart murmur, this is currently not affecting him whatsoever. Once fully settled into his new home, he will require outdoor access as this is what he’s used to.

Rosie is a beautiful girl who was brought into us after her owners got a new dog. She can be a little shy from time to time but loves to flirt at dinner times or if there is cuddles and kisses are on offer! We feel a home with no dogs or children, but possibly a compatible feline friend is ideal for her as she may take some time to come around, and having a confident cat there may encourage her to follow in their footsteps and show her true colours a little quicker. Rosie used to enjoy a potter in the garden, so a home that can accommodate this is perfect for this sweet lady!

Tango was brought into us as their owner sadly passed away. He is a shy boy who do take a while to come out of their shells, but once he does, he is the loveliest boy! Tango has made it clear that he is not a huge fan of other felines, so they will have to be the only pet in their new home. We feel the ideal place for this boy is a quieter home with cat savvy children aged 10 years and older who will understand when they’d prefer to be left alone for a while. Once fully settled Tango will require outdoor access as this is what they are used to. Tango is also missing half of his tail, we have no idea how or when this happened but it is not affecting him whatsoever, and is healed over completely!

Leo is a lovely boy who came to us with his sister Bella due to their owner becoming allergic to them. We have been told he is the more reserved one of the two- though they are both loving, cuddly and playful. We are looking for a home for Leo with no young children or other pets. The siblings are currently sharing an outdoor pen together but have shown no signs of being bonded so we are happy to rehome them seperately. Leo will require outdoor acess in his new home away from busy and high traffic areas as he has little road sense.

Shadow came to us after her owners felt she was too stressed in the home. She did then start to take this out on the other cats by fighting with them. For this reason we are looking for a quiet home with no other pets and older children if any (ages 8+). She is a confident girl who loves attention and a good cuddle. Shadow does have some fur missing due to over grooming but we are hoping in the right home where she get’s all of the attention she deserves, she will stop doing this. Once settled, Shadow would require outdoor access as she likes a potter in the garden.

Jane Doe was brought to us unannounced one afternoon as she had been hanging around an area in Ramsbottom as a stray for some time. She is extremely shy and takes some time to come round to new people. She isn’t really enjoying life at the sanctuary and is looking for a place to settle down and call home. In recent weeks, she has really started to open up and show her true colours. She has a beautiful nature and absolutely loves fuss once she is comfortable! The ideal home for her is one with teenage and older children and no other pets, so she can be treated like the true princess that she is and can take all the time she needs to come round to her new family! Once fully settled into her new forever home, Jane Doe will require access to the outdoors as this is what she is used to.
