Meet Merlin and Luka, a pair of charming Belgian Malinois aged nine and seven. These loyal boys arrived at Bleakholt after their owner sadly had to move into a care home. They have clearly been well loved and well trained: they walk beautifully on both lead and harness and remain calm and non-reactive around other dogs.
Although experience with Malinois is an advantage, it isn’t essential. They are large in size, yet their manners are impeccable. Given their age and stature, Merlin and Luka would thrive as the only pets in the household. They would make ideal companions for a single person, a couple, or a family with older teenagers who are confident around bigger dogs.

Isaac is a bonnie little chi-x-jrt who has come into our care due to his owner not being able to cope with him.

He is only one-and-a-half and so far seems to be a really lovely little boy who just needs some direction.

Once he knows what you want from him, he’s actually a really well-behaved little guy.

Isaac definitely needs a child-free home with no other pets as he would be overwhelmed. He does not take to people straight away and likes you to take your time and let him come to you.

He needs an active couple or person. The Jack Russell in him is very dominant and could walk the socks of most young people.

Logan is a 12 year old American bulldog, who is looking for a forever foster home. He is a lovely lad who is looking for a home with someone who will be around most of the time and will give him all the love and attention he deserves. Logan does suffer with his back legs so isn’t looking to go for miles and miles, but he does enjoy his walks and loves going out and about. He is fine passing other dogs and walks lovely on lead but on some occasions Logan doesn’t realize his strength so if there is something he is curious about you will be going there with him! Meet Archie, a delightful two-year-old Beagle mix in search of his forever home. Archie arrived at Bleakholt after his previous owner could no longer care for him.
Bursting with energy and curiosity, Archie loves outdoor adventures and exploring new surroundings, his nose is engaged all the time, he loves to sniff. Though he can pull on the lead at first, with gentle reassurance and patience, he soon settles into a calmer pace. Archie can be vocal when meeting other dogs and is not comfortable around cats, so a pet-free home will suit him perfectly. He can also be unsure of new surroundings and situations.
Due to some previous resource guarding behaviours, Archie will thrive best in an adult-only household with people who can offer clear structure and boundaries. Those familiar with Beagle traits will be ideally placed to provide the guidance and mental stimulation he craves.

Molly is a five-year-old French Bulldog cross who arrived at Bleakholt after her previous owner became ill and could no longer provide the care she needed.
This sweet girl quickly forms bonds with her people, although she can be a little shy at first. With gentle reassurance, Molly’s affectionate side shines through, and she can even be quite vocal in her excitement once she feels comfortable.

Molly is generally fine passing other dogs on walks, but she has never lived with another dog. She also hasn’t lived with young children, so we feel she would thrive best as the only pet in a calm, loving home. She would be an ideal companion for a single person, a couple, or a family with older teenagers who are confident around dogs.

Kevin is a young, affectionate boy who is full of energy and personality. He is partially sighted and partially deaf, but neither is extreme and it certainly doesn’t hold him back!

Unfortunately, Kevin didn’t receive any basic training before coming into our care, however he is a fast learner, loves to greet everyone he meets and has started to walk very nicely on walks. Although he will benefit from a patient owner who has plenty of time to invest in his training and give him the consistency and guidance he needs.

We feel Kevin would be best suited to a home with children aged 12+.
