They are lovely girls who are very friendly with everyone they meet. They love playing with squeaky toys in our exercise gardens. They ignore dogs whilst out on walks, they have lived with children and a cat. They are looking for a home together as they are very bonded.

These beautiful Jack Russell’s are best friends Lola, 6 years and Tilly, 10 years. They came in to Bleakholt because their owner has a baby and they cannot give the time and attention Lola and Tilly need. These lovely girls walk well on lead and tend to ignore most dogs whilst out on walks. At the moment Lola is still quite nervous being in kennels but luckily she has her best friend Tilly to reassure her. We are looking for a pet free home where the girls will be given time to settle in to a new environment. They had lived in their previous home all their life so it is understandable that they are find kennels a bit stressful. They would be suitable for a single person, a couple or a family with children 10+.

Hi, my name is Alice. I am a very lively 13 year old staffie. I can be quite anxious and vocal but really love people’s company. This is Hazel, she is a 4 and a half year old ex racing greyhound. She was adopted in January but unfortunately has been returned as she wasn’t adapting to a home with children. Therefore we are now looking for an adult only home with no other pets. She walks well on lead and harness but is very selective when it comes to other dogs. She tends to favour other greyhounds especially male greys but can still have a grumble if she is unsure of them. She is an affectionate girl and enjoys meeting new people, she is a favourite amongst our volunteers and has been going on walks with Olly the other greyhound at Bleakholt which she really seems to enjoy. This handsome boy is Olly, he is a 3 and a half years old. Olly is an ex racing greyhound who has come in to Bleakholt from other kennels. He is super gentle, walks right by your side. He likes other greyhounds especially females. He is good with children 10+ therefore he could be rehomed to a family, alternatively he would be suitable for a single person or a couple. This lovely girl is Womble. She is a 9 year old collie. She is a super friendly girl but does have some anxieties with new things and new surroundings. She is okay when passing and walking with dogs out and about but we feel she would be best suited to a pet free home. She is happy to meet every person and wants a fuss of most people. She walks beautifully on the lead and loves to have a good sniff in the grass. We feel she would be best suited to a collie experience owner with adult only owners. She has shown some issues in the home environment so some training to help her with this will be needed. This young man is Kenzo, he is a 7/8mth old X breed, he will be on the larger side, sadly he came to us via a vets that had to do surgery on his hip, he has got a lot of muscle wastage on both his back legs due to his injury’s. We are looking for home that can give him the exercise that he needs to build the muscles up again, he can go on normal walks but hill climbing would not be a good idea. Kenzo is great with other dogs, he is a bit rough with the lead still, so does need some training, as he has spent most of his young life not able to walk properly he is raring to go. We are looking for o home with children aged 10yrs+ due to his size and the lack of history on his previous home life.
