Cat of the Month

Different ways to fund raise.

There are a number of ways you can all help us raise money here at Bleakholt, we would like to give you a perfect example of what people really do for us.

We would like you to meet and know about Mrs Thompson. Mrs Thompson raised a very impressive £195 for us here at Bleakholt Animal Sanctuary by taking part in a sponsored slim.

She managed to lose an amazing 2 stone, all of her work colleges sponsored her and she has now donated all of the money she raised to Bleakholt,

Donna Henley

Donna Henley

We would like you all to meet our little Donna Henley. She is a little 1 year old hamster and this little girl needs a new loving home. Donna came to us a couple of months ago when she was rescued by a kind member of public who found her running around their garden. Now as you can imagine, trying to sex a small hamster like Donna is quite tricky but we all thought she was a little boy and our deputy manager Jax, named her Don, as in Don Henley from the rock band the "Eagles".

Our Latest Team Challenge

O2 and Tesco Team Challenge.

On July the 28^th we had one of the biggest team challenges on record here at Bleakholt. We had a record 50 people from O2 and Tesco participating in a team building day out. We had a variety of jobs lined up for the team as you can see by the pictures and the day was thoroughly enjoyed by all who attended. The whole day ended up a huge success which was co-ordinated by Martin our head of stables and Owain our maintenance chappie.

As the day came to a close, the team themselves finished off with an egg and spoon race, O2 v’s Tesco which O2 won but with a lot of cheating!

New Head of Cat Section

Kayleigh, Fleur, Liz, Will and Sheila

Today the 26^th July saw Bleakholt with a new Head of Cats in the form of an old friend to both Bleakholt and other Animal rescues. Fleur Watkins is a veterinary nurse who has held positions as a nurse and latterly a head nurse in veterinary practices that Bleakholt have dealt with for years.

However Fleurs passion is the rescue side of veterinary care, hence her transfer to firstly the Cinnamon Trust and now to Bleakholt.
