Project Description
This is Alba a 3-year-old female Dogue de Bordeaux cross Staffie.
She originally came in to Bleakholt because her owner became homeless.
Alba has sadly been brought back to us after a year as her people started working long hours and could not give Alba the exercise and time she needs.
Alba a lovely girl that walks well on the lead and harness, but can be difficult for new people. She will just plant her feet. once you win her over though she is such a fun girl and has me in stitches all the time.
She can pull you where she wants to go being a very strong girl so will need her new family to be able to handle strong dogs, but most of the time she just wants a leisurely stroll at a very slow pace and wont be rushed.
She does not like other dog’s/animals usually…. therefore she will need a pet-free home and one where she will not be left for long periods of time as she suffers from separation anxiety and will fret if left for long periods of time.
She can be boisterous and excitable at times…. it doesn’t happen often, but when she is having zoomies you would need to be a confident handler.
Alba is a loyal dog once she has bonded with you.
She would make a good companion for a single person, a couple or a family with dog savvy teenagers.
Experience of bully breeds would be an advantage due to their boisterous nature.
